YOUR DATA, EXPLAINED

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Baron Next Zen ("Baron Next Zen", "we", "us" or "our"), the operator of the My Savaari app and website, handles personal data when you use our technology platform. It is published under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

In plain language

We use information to create accounts, match rides and local cargo, show relevant driver details, process platform fees, provide support and keep the marketplace safer. We do not sell personal information.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Baron Next Zen is the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 for personal data handled through My Savaari, and you are the Data Principal. Our contact details are at the end of this policy. Some services are provided by specialist companies acting on our instructions or as independent payment/authentication providers.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and profile: mobile number, OTP or sign-in identifiers, name, email (if supplied), gender, date of birth, language and city.
  • Ride and booking information: pickup and drop points, addresses, coordinates, date and time, seats, route preferences, driver offers, bookings, cancellations, ratings and support details.
  • Cargo information: pickup and drop points, goods description, weight, vehicle type, handling notes, offers, job status and the contact details needed to arrange the delivery.
  • Driver information: vehicle type, model, registration number, fare settings, agency membership, driving-licence number and camera-captured profile/licence images. Licence images are restricted to authorised review; they are not shown to passengers.
  • Location: precise device location when you grant permission, to set a pickup point and to find nearby drivers or jobs. A driver's location is shared only while the My Savaari app is open on their device. We do not collect location in the background, when the app is minimised, or when it is closed.
  • Device and service information: push-notification token, app version, security/authentication events, requests and error or operational logs needed to run the service.
  • Payment information: platform-fee amount, reference, status and gateway response. Payment partners process card/UPI details; My Savaari does not store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords.

3. Why we use information

  • To create and secure your account and verify your mobile number.
  • To show routes, suggest places and match passengers, drivers, agencies and cargo jobs.
  • To show the information needed to make a confirmed connection, including relevant name, phone number, vehicle and profile photo.
  • To process platform fees, prevent duplicate or fraudulent payments, maintain driver dues and handle refunds.
  • To send booking, ride, cargo, safety, account and service notifications.
  • To review driver documents, investigate complaints, prevent misuse and comply with lawful requests.
  • To diagnose outages, protect the platform and improve reliability.

4. What we share, and with whom

We share the minimum information needed for the connection:

  • After a ride or cargo match is confirmed, the people involved may receive each other's name and phone number so they can coordinate.
  • A passenger may see a matched driver's name, profile photo, vehicle details and relevant agency information. A driving-licence image is not shared with passengers.
  • Drivers receive the pickup, drop and request details needed to accept and complete a job. Cargo senders should not include unnecessary sensitive information in goods notes.
  • Service providers may process information for authentication, storage, hosting/database operations, maps/place search, push notifications, customer support and payments.
  • We may disclose information to regulators, courts, police or other authorities when legally required or necessary to protect people, rights or the service.

We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

5. Service providers

Depending on the sign-in, payment and app configuration, information may be processed by Firebase/Google services (authentication, secure storage and notifications), Truecaller (optional one-tap sign-in), Google Places or equivalent mapping services (place search), Cashfree Payments India Private Limited (platform payments), hosting/database providers and email or support providers. These providers receive only what their service requires and are governed by their own policies.

6. Location choices

Location permission is optional, but nearby matching and map features will not work without it. You can revoke it at any time in Android Settings → Apps → My Savaari → Permissions. Because location is only read while the app is open, closing the app stops it entirely — there is nothing running in the background to switch off.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Account and operational records are retained while needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal or accounting obligations. Payment and platform-fee records are retained for up to 8 years, the period books of account must be preserved under Section 128(5) of the Companies Act, 2013 and Rule 6F of the Income-tax Rules, 1962. On account deletion, we close active work, anonymise the account and remove personal profile data and driver documents where no legal retention applies. Some transaction or de-identified trip records may remain because deleting them would undermine legal, fraud-prevention, safety or accounting obligations.

See Delete your account for the exact request path and categories.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, authenticated access, access controls, secure tokens and restricted document links. No online service can promise absolute security. Never share an OTP, UPI PIN, password or payment authorisation with another person.

9. Children

My Savaari is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.

10. Your rights

Under Sections 11 to 14 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it has been processed.
  • Correct, complete, update or erase your personal data.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as it was given. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, and some services stop working without the data they depend on.
  • Grievance redressal — see the Grievance Officer below before approaching the Data Protection Board of India.

Email admin@mysavaari.com from your registered mobile number or email, with enough detail for us to verify who you are. We answer within the timelines set out below.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, providers or law changes. We will publish the new version here with a new update date. Continued use after the effective date means you have seen the updated policy.
